The Lighting Designer

Kelly Page began her college career as a dance major at Slippery Rock University. This is where she discovered a love for the technical world of theater and dance.

 

She began her training in lighting design in her sophomore year of college and became the lighting designer for the Slippery Rock Dance Department her third, fourth, and fifth years of college.

 

Her designs include SRU Dance Theater's Adjudication, Fall, Senior Synthesis, Laban Movement Analysis, and Independent concerts; various events for the SRU's Performing Arts Series; an opera for SRU's Music Department; a few small shows for SRU's Theatre Department; and a section of Slippery Rock University's 2017 commercial.

 

Kelly is also a stage manager for the SRU Dance Department. She has worked SRUDT's Faculty and Guest Artist, Fall, Senior Synthesis, and Independent concerts. In 2017 she was given the "Outstanding Service Award" by the dance department.

 

She can be found as a student worker for SRU's Theatre Department where she builds sets, paints, hangs lights, and prepares the theatre for upcoming productions.
