Teaching Statement

As a teacher, I strive to bring out the best in all of my students. I am encouraging, helpful, and patient both inside and outside of the studio. My teaching philosophy is to teach how I want to be taught: a friendly teacher to student relationship while still maintaining discipline. Correct alignment is key to any style of dance and it is my responsibility to use my knowledge and resources to teach and protect my students from injury. I will use imagery and critical thinking to help the students learn and understand, rather than just reciting information. My goals are to inspire, educate, and see my students succeed in all parts of their lives.
