Artist Statement

As an artist, I believe in finding new and genuine ways to express myself through movement. Outspoken is not a word typically used to describe myself, therefore, I use dance as an outlet of non-verbal expression. I find a lot of inspiration for choreography based on events in my own life as well as being able to find beauty in things both ordinary and unique, current or past events, collaborations, and literature. Dance has provided me an outlet of freedom that I cannot find anywhere else. I hope to portray this freedom to every person in the audience.
